Fleeing the Holocaust, I could here the sound of guns and bombs
It appears the intellectual way to appease man is fading out, and violence, the argument of force is taking its place, the rise of big data and state surveillance is appearing to be frightening
Where shall I run to? Is political liberty, tolerance, and rule of law still possible, oh America! Land of the Brave, land of Lincoln for how long shall you continue to welcome those fleeing violence and tyranny around the world
What if free individual development was present, what if human dignity was respected from where I am fleeing?
The individual is only a slave to the state, independence of thought, self-resilience, how long must we obey tyranny and oppression?
How is mother earth going to reach the stage of freedom and liberty and preserved that liberty
Can there be an unselfish cooperation of many individuals to stand up against tyranny?
Technology has indeed provided us with the possibility of liberation from hard labor, technology creates means not goals, technology itself is not a liberator, the technological revolution can not be stopped but despots can be stopped, technology in the hands of despots must be prevented at all cost
Democracy is a way of life, and the faith of humanity is dependent on its moral level of rectitude
How can we therefore inspire, equip, and connect people to make the change we hope to see in the world?
